Martial Glacier Trekking

Medium difficulty trek.

Suitable for people with no trekking experience but in good physical condition. There are 8 km of rugged terrain with a challenging slope and a 400 mts. difference in altitude.

The base of the Martial Glacier is reached by the road to the hotel reserve in the upper part of the city, a few minutes from downtown.

The trekking begins with an ascent that follows the old ski slope of the Martial Glacier. We advance over the highest part of the Fuegian forest.

The trail continues following the meltwater stream coming from the glacier. The vegetation is left behind to continue on trails of loose rock and ice.

Weather permitting, lunch is served at the base of the glacier or at the lookout point with a breathtaking view of the city and the Beagle Channel.

The return is by the same trail to the parking lot where your transportation will be waiting for you.
