We leave Ushuaia towards the east along National Route N°3 and then along route “J” until we reach the Lasifashaj River.
Once in the river, and after a technical talk, we will start paddling in canoes to the Beagle Channel.
On the way we will appreciate the wildlife of the place: a variety of seabirds and some sea lions.
Once the paddling is finished, we arrive at the hull of Estancia Harberton to take a boat towards Martillo Island. From the boat we will be able to see a colony of Gentoo penguins and another of Magellanic penguins.
The navigation in the motor boat then continues to the main attraction of the day: the huge Gable Island, where we will enjoy a tasty lunch.
Then we will start the hike. We will walk around this wonderful island where we will enjoy incredible views. We will also observe remains left by the Yámana civilization and by the first settlers.
After a two-hour hike, we return to Port Harberton by zodiac.
From this point we will take the mini-bus to Ushuaia.
